14 órányi fagyot és orkán erejű szelet átvészleve Braeriach csúcsánál a reggeli sűrű ködből sietősen elindultam Lairig Ghru völgy felé. Ezt elérve a Chalamain Hasadékon keresztül jutottam el Cairn Gorm Sícentrumig, ahol ez a remek téli túra végződött.

Having withstood 14 hours of freezing cold and gusting winds near the summit of Braeriach I quickly started descending from the thick fog to Lairing Ghru's valley. After reaching it I crossed Chalamain Gap to get to Cairn Gorm Ski Centre, where this neat winter hike ended.

Ezen a napon Corrour kunyhóból indulva Lairig Ghru Ny-i oldalan húzódó csúcsokat másztam meg a következő sorrendben: The Devil's Point, Stob coire an t-Saighdeir, Cairn Toul, The Angel's Peak, Carn na Criche majd végül pedig Braeriach. A legutóbbi 1200 méteres magasságán töltöttem az éjszakát a szabad ég alatt.

Today I set off from Corrour bothy and summited the peaks on the W side of Lairig Ghru in the following order: The Devil's Point, Stob coire an t-Saighdeir, Cairn Toul, The Angel's Peak, Carn na Criche and finally Braeriach. I spent the night on the last one at the altitude of 1200 metres under partially starry sky.

Az év eleji túra alkalmával Cairngorms ezen részét nem volt alkalmam felfedezni pedig tervben volt, így amikor száraz időt jósoltak pár napra és már hó is volt a terepen, akkor elindultam erre a 45 km-es hegyi körtúrára.

Cairngorms in December

At the beginning of this year I didn't get a chance to explore this part of Cairngorms, so when a couple of dry days were forecast and some snow was already on the ground I set off to hike this 45 km long circular walk.
